My long lost twin Haystacks Trenhaile at the Boow Ranch last week. (Yeah that’s me. Already shaved the beard!)
TRUE STORY: last year I had obtained this hat and shirt from shooting a TV Pilot called “Urban Cowboy” as a lead. Well I have no room for the hat in my travel bag, so I wear it traveling back home. At the airport, sure enough, a tall guy in a cowboy hat sees me and comes swaggering up. I’ve trained like hell on my southern accents, so I pull out my best Texas-Panhandle to see if it’s passable on a local Texan. We got along famously. I told him I was from Oklahoma as I had no idea about Texas at all beyond the half true sterotypes. It got to the point where we went for beers at the airport, and when he insisted on paying I broke down into my Canadian accent and said “Sorry man, I’m Canadian”. Everyone is dying laughing, the bartender – crying – gives us the round for free, and Jason the Texan says “Well Ho-lee shit.”.
As an actor, I can tell you I was happier than a pig in mud that my accent specific to that region was legitimate!!!!

I’ve just got back from a week in Los Angeles, meeting some serious players and showcase my acting chops in front of 25 top talent agents, managers and casting directors. The event itself exceeded my expectations, both in quality of guest and a lot of the genuine interest in me afterwards. I won’t and shouldn’t…
